Using Condoms

The term ‘condom’ comes to mind while having sex. Well, some use it mandatorily but some skip it. Well, condoms stand to be a must when you wish to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections. It acts as a barrier not only from pregnancy but also from HIV and STIs. In studies, it is been seen that using condoms has minimized the risk of getting STIs. To prevent the same you need to talk with your partner and know about your sexual history before getting intimate. But certainly, condoms have proved their effectiveness in STIs that get transmitted through genital fluids.

Go for STI checkups

There is no symptom of STI. So you can’t be sure that the healthy person you are enticing with is not passing STI to you. So it is always important to go for regular checkups to ensure that you are fit for mingling with someone. You need to ensure that you are not transmitting anything to anyone… And also check the sexual history of your partner for your safety. In this way, you can restrict a major transmission process.

Have limited sexual partners

Having too many sexual partners is not a good idea to minimize the risk of STIs. You don’t know the history of all your partners and you certainly can’t ask and collect sexual history from each of your partners. So it is better to limit your number of partners. So you will know about every of your partner you are mingling with which makes it safer for you.

To add a conclusion, you should not get ashamed and hide it if you accidentally get STI. You need to consult a good doctor and treat yourself.
